Central Java - Babadan Village Tirta Ranu - Natural Hydro Washed

After a few years of hiatus, this year we're finally back with Huda's coffee from Selosa Coffee in Central Java.

We first introduced his coffee back in 2022, and that year marks the start of buying his processed coffee. Many that year didn't know there are coffee grown in Central Java and were surprised by the quality coming from there. However in 2023-2024, due to some challenges Huda wasnt able to process any coffee, and sadly we couldnt feature his craft again.

But! This year things are more exciting. Huda is now back processing coffee again and has invested in a new processing facility that hopefully could improve the overall quality of his processed coffee.

This lot that we are presenting to you is a small lot called "Tirta Ranu" that derives from the Javanese language. It was processed as a Natural-Hydro-Washed, an advanced process that Huda learnt from the master himself Elkin Guzman from Finca El Mirador.

In the cup, the quality is pretty unique. It got the brightness and cleanliness of a washed coffee yet packed with a dark-berries tone like a natural process. From our QC, we found notes of blackberries, palm sugar, and the sweet umami notes like a sweet barley tea.
