East Java - Mt. Batu Mami Estate KN21 - Anaerobic Natural

December 2025 after we finished our "Great-Coffee Tour" we had the opportunity to establish and visit a coffee estate called "Mami Estate" owned and managed by Salman and his family.

Mami Estate is a relatively young coffee farm but in our opinion they are very forward looking. The land previously was an apple farm but about few years ago, Salman's father decided to make that apple farm into a coffee plantation.

Long story short we spend the afternoon chatting with Salman and his family and they were kind enough to show us around their processing facility although when we come almost all the coffee they produced were finished and being rested.

Since their farm are not too big, they harvest could be said is very small. We were lucky enough to secure small amount of it for our first year working together with them.

This particular lot comes from their single variety Komasti, a variety that are common to be found in East Java. Processed as an anaerobic natural to increase the complexity of the cup.

It's our first year working with them, and we look forward to roast more of their coffee with you.

It's a simple cup yet very comfortable. Expect notes of stonefruits, red apple, with a brown sugar finish.
